KINDLY NOTE: Ford's documentation is very confusing and inconsistent regarding correct Ford part numbers for the actuators, model applications, and the years the RH / Passenger's Side Door Lock Actuators and the LH / Driver's Side Door Lock Actuators were installed at the Ford Factory. In the case of Ford only installing the RH Door Lock Actuator Motor, the LH/Driver's side Mercury Capri Door Latch Mechanism manually activates the RH Door Lock Actuator Motor. It appears that most typically, Ford only installed only RH Door Lock Actuator Motor at the factory. However for Model Year 1994 ONLY, Ford seemed to have installed LH Door Lock Actuator Motors with a switch (Switch used only in 1994 models). Ford also made available a Dealer installed optional LH / LEFT Door Lock Actuator Motor "KIT" to ADD an Actuator for 1991, 1992, and 1993 model years for the LH / Driver's Side door lock. Therefore you may receive either a Door Lock Actuator Motor "KIT" that looks like the smaller PIC above (most likely) or 1994 LH Door Lock Actuator Motor which looks very similar to the RH actuator as per the above large PIC. Due to the confusing Ford documentation, we do not guarantee that this information is correct. We recommend you independently verify it PRIOR to purchasing either of these items.
