This Mercury Capri TURBO (XR2 Models) is an OE relacement Down Pipe / Mercury Capri Header Pipe / Mercury Capri Elbow Pipe / Mercury Capri Front Pipe does not have the heat shield that was welded to the original; this actually can be considered a major "plus" in that they tended to come loose & rattle. A majority of Mercury Capri owners that expeienced this constant rattling ended up having the shield cut off the Mercury Capri Down Pipe / Header Elbow Pipe to remidy the problem.
